Digital Photo Collection
Our digital photograph collection began in 2005 with a grant entitled Arizona in the 1930s. These funds were granted by the Arizona State Library, Archives, and Public Records Agency under the Library Services and Technology Act, which is administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Before Scottsdale built additional library branches, this bookmobile helped meet the needs of the city. (ca late 1970's)
The project was a cooperative venture between the Scottsdale Public Library and the Arizona Historical Society that also included a travelling exhibit on 1930s' Arizona and collaborative programming.

This house was built by George Ellis and became the nucleus of the Artist Colony on Cattle Track. (circa 1930's)
