College & Career Corner offers free resources and advising to high school students in Scottsdale get ready for college and their future careers.

One-on-One Coaching (Coming Soon)

Meet with a College and Career Corner advisor to further your college and career planning. Advisors are available Monday-Friday from 3-5 pm by appointment. Walk-ins will be accommodated when possible. Our team of advisors aid students in the following topics:

Financial Aid and Scholarship

FAFSA
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is a form used to apply for federal financial aid, including grants, scholarships, work-study funds and loans for college, career/trade school or graduate school.

Candid – Foundation Directory
This database helps individuals seeking grants, scholarships or fellowships find and connect with funders. Access is in-house only.

Prepare for College Admission Tests

Find test prep books at the College and Career Corner to help prepare for the ACTs, SATs, GED and more!

ACT
The ACT (American College Test) is a multiple-choice college entrance exam used to determine college admissions. The purpose of the ACT is to measure a high school student’s readiness for college.

PSAT
The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) provides practice for the SAT and determines eligibility for the National Merit Scholarship Program.

SAT
The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test, formerly known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a standardized test widely used for college admissions and is designed to asses a student’s readiness for college level work.

Prepare for standardized tests with Peterson’s Test Prep. This valuable resource includes full-length practice tests for GED, SAT, ACT, AP, PSAT and more. You will need a Scottsdale Public Library card.
